Earth Day Update
Earth Day 2010 is bound to be a huge success, seeing that the Dons Net Café employees have been designated as Earth Day’s official youth ambassadors. On April 17th and 18th at Alameda Park, we will be teaching the community the importance of taking care of our environment and staying sustainable. So far, we have been trying to get all the schools in Santa Barbara involved by promoting the various contests that this year’s Earth Day will be holding.
We personally delivered some awesome posters to all the high schools in the county and handed out fliers (that look like cool Rave Cards) so that they could be more informed about the event. We have participated in 2 beach clean-ups, have written a press release, and have Univision coming in to cover the story, and are in contact with local radio stations.
We are now coordinating with The Green Academy to do a Earth Week at our school, with a different theme for every day. Start looking for those old cell phones, perfect time to recycle!
While at Earth Day, we will be selling all of our eco-friendly products. We will also be selling customized Earth Day merchandise. Come to Earth Day; have some fun while learning about what it means to be green.
We hope to see you there!
