SBici was at Bicicentro for the Ribbon Cutting of the bike trailer.

Sergio Garcia, president of SBici, was accompanied by his club members and employees from BiciCentro. It was an important event for both of the organizations. After months of hard work and fundraising, they were finally able to purchase a trailer. That trailer would allow them to transport bicycles at local programs, volunteer at events, and activities such as CicLAvia, Open Streets, and Earth Day. It would also make it much easier to transport their bikes and other equipment.

SBici is a nonprofit organization whose main purpose is to reduce waste in the form of repairing recycled bicycles which are used for local programs. Pedal Power and Bikes for Christmas are organizations that help children. Pedal Power is a program that operates at various local public schools and allows children to learn how to use their bike properly and learn the rules of the road. Then there's Bikes for Christmas where SBici would fix up broken bikes and make them look good as new. When they are properly repaired and function, they are given to children of low income family for them to enjoy on Christmas.

This year SBici will be traveling to New York on February 14th for the Youth Bike Summit Conference. It is a three day event where programs around the country get together and share their stories and bring out new ideas to make the world a better place. They also try to advocate children to go outside and be active.
