Youth Venture Summit in Miami!
The Dons Net Cafe is proud to share that we attended and presented our social entrepreneurial business this summer at the University of Miami! We met amazing like minded changemakers from around the world and made friendships and partnerships that will continue to grow. From Baby Champ and his http://originalscraperbikes.blogspot.com/ Scraper Bikes to Jihong and his crazy and useful inventions www.bookstandup.com and Arjun lessening the digital divide http://www.mydigitalindependence.com/
Our favorite speakers were Ashoka Fellows Conch Bretos and Molly Barker. They moved us to tears and inspired us to not give up but to follow the "pull". Mrs. Bretos was born in Cuba and sent to America without her family, you must read her story with helping seniors. Molly Barker is the founder of "Girls on the Run". Molly builds confidence and self-esteem in her girl athletes. Check her out!We salute you all and look forward to collaborating with you all. Lean on us when you're not strong! Peace Out Changemakers! Special thanks to Best Buy http://www.bestbuy-communityrelations.com/community_grants.htm for supporting Youth Venture and allowing us to attend, enter and win seed money, and have this life changing experience.
We want to thank our ToastMaster's Leader, Monique Rodriguez, who we all love dearly, for her continual support and guidance. Thank you for working with us on the presentation!
Thank you for the advice and pic Scott Warren, Founder, Generation Citizen. You ROCK!
